Frequently asked questions about pressure sensors

What pressure range do ROSSMA sensors measure?

P-Meter supports ranges from 0–7 MPa to 0–70 MPa (70 to 700 bar, selected at order). Analog Ex modules work with any external 4-20 mA sensor, extending the range to any values.

Can the sensors be used in hazardous areas?

Yes. P-Meter and Analog Ex are Ex d (flameproof enclosure) and Ex db certified for Zone 1 and 2 per IEC 60079. Operating temperature from -55 to +80 °C.

Do ROSSMA sensors support NB-IoT?

Yes. All IIOT-AMS devices support two connectivity standards: LoRaWAN and NB-IoT. LoRaWAN provides own infrastructure with no subscription fees, while NB-IoT works via cellular operator networks — the choice depends on the application and site infrastructure.

How far can the signal reach without repeaters?

LoRaWAN range is up to 15 km in open terrain and 2-5 km in urban areas. MeshSens uses a Sub-GHz mesh network with automatic relay between nodes.

What is the monthly subscription cost?

$0. ROSSMA uses its own LoRaWAN infrastructure (NETS base stations). No cellular operator dependency or monthly fees.

How often does the battery need replacing?

Built-in lithium batteries are rated for up to 10 years. Exact lifespan depends on data transmission interval, operating temperature, and battery type.

Are the sensors compatible with existing SCADA?

Yes. The NETS base station supports Modbus TCP/RTU, MQTT, REST API. Data is also available via NETS.HMI — a built-in SCADA system with 21 widget types.

Can third-party pressure sensors be connected?

Yes. Analog Ex modules (1-channel and 4-channel) accept 4-20 mA signals from any industrial pressure, level, or flow sensors.
