What base stations solve

Wireless IIoT monitoring infrastructure

Deploy a LoRaWAN network

Quick launch of a wireless LoRaWAN network on site. A single base station covers up to 15 km in open terrain and up to 1000 devices.

Extend coverage area

Combining Vega BS-2.2 and RAK 7289CV2 with directional antennas. Scale from a single building to an industrial site.

Integrate with SCADA

ROSSMA NETS platform delivers data to SCADA via Modbus TCP, MQTT, REST API. Built-in visualization with NETS.HMI.

Monitor remotely

Network status monitoring, device registration, and Telegram notifications from anywhere in the world via ROSSMA NETS.

Frequently asked questions about LoRaWAN base stations

Which base station to choose — Vega or RAK?
Vega BS-2.2 is Russian-made, 8 channels, suitable for quick start and small facilities. RAK 7289CV2 has 16 channels, IP67 outdoor enclosure, Wi-Fi + LTE, ideal for large sites with high device density.
How many devices can connect to one base station?
Up to 1000+ LoRaWAN Class A devices at standard transmission intervals. Exact capacity depends on polling frequency, number of channels, and data packet size.
What is the coverage range?
Up to 15 km in open terrain and 2-5 km in urban areas. A directional antenna can extend coverage in a specific direction.
Is internet required on site?
Yes, the base station transmits data to the ROSSMA NETS server via Ethernet, 3G/LTE, or Wi-Fi. Vega BS-2.2 supports Ethernet + 3G, RAK 7289CV2 supports Ethernet + Wi-Fi + LTE.
Is NB-IoT supported?
ROSSMA devices support both LoRaWAN and NB-IoT. With NB-IoT, no base station is needed — devices transmit data directly through the cellular operator network.
How to manage devices remotely?
Via the ROSSMA NETS platform: gateway and device registration, network status monitoring, parameter configuration, REST API and MQTT integration, Telegram event notifications.
Can a base station be used without ROSSMA NETS?
Yes. Vega BS-2.2 works with its own Vega server, and RAK 7289CV2 is compatible with any LoRaWAN Network Server (ChirpStack, TTN). However, ROSSMA NETS provides a unified management platform with HMI, API, and notifications.
