Supervision of Assembly

Supervision of Assembly is the provision of full informational and technical control by specialists of the service provider over the process of performing installation, technological and, in some cases, commissioning work. The work itself is carried out by the customer’s personnel.

As a rule, when it comes to specific equipment or the launch of equipment complexes, the supervision of assembly service is provided by their manufacturer. In other cases, for example during construction work, supervision of assembly is performed by competent organisations.

Advantages of supervision of assembly:

  • correctness of installation and commissioning work;
  • compliance by the customer’s personnel with technological nuances when installing new equipment;
  • coordinated, refined-to-detail actions of personnel;
  • minimum time for commissioning of equipment;
  • readiness of maintenance personnel for further operation of the equipment.

Supervision of Commissioning

Supervision of Commissioning means technical management of a set of works to ensure the operability of equipment within the scope of supply of the manufacturer, its adjustment, as well as author’s supervision over the conduct of commissioning work, equipment testing and its commissioning at the Customer’s facility in accordance with the manufacturer’s documentation.

Site Survey

A survey of facilities planned for automation is an important component of the process of creating a telemetry system. During the survey, specialists travel to the facilities to collect information and compile a survey report, which includes:

  • Brief description of the automation facility
  • Approximate view of the mnemonics of the automation system being developed
  • List of access levels in the system
  • Examples of report and statement forms
  • Appendices:
    • Documents on the technological part of the project:
      • explanatory note on technology (current technological regulations and planned changes as a result of reconstruction)
      • description of equipment start/stop operations
      • album of installation and technological diagrams indicating instrumentation and control points and actions of interlocks and groups of interlocks of existing and planned changes
      • list of interlocks
      • existing structural interlock diagrams
    • Documents on the electrical part of the project:
      • power supply requirements for APCS and field equipment according to the category of the automation facility
    • Project documentation documents on communication with existing subsystems:
      • number of subsystems
      • interfaces and exchange protocols for each subsystem
      • connection diagrams for exchange interfaces
      • requirements for redundancy of interface communication channels
      • list of interface exchange parameters (analogue and digital) with exact protocol and communication addresses
  • List of interface exchange parameters (analogue and digital) with exact protocol and communication addresses
