Perm oilmen expand the territory of “Smart Wells”
LUKOIL-PERM oilmen plan to expand the remote monitoring and control project "Smart Well" to two production departments.
LUKOIL-PERM oilmen plan to expand the “Smart Well” project for remote monitoring and control of oil and gas equipment to two production departments. The project was launched a year ago in pilot mode at one of the company’s fields. It demonstrated a reduction in operational oil production costs, reduced response time to well operation deviations by 24 times: from 4 hours to 10 minutes, and production shortfalls by 2%. In March 2019, LUKOIL, Rostelecom, and ROSSMA presented a joint pilot project for remote monitoring and control of oil and gas equipment — the “Smart Well.” The digital technology development was implemented at the Aspinskoye field of LUKOIL-PERM’s CDNG No. 6. Oilmen gained the ability to receive a comprehensive set of data from hard-to-reach production facilities (where there is no GSM connectivity), enabling full and prompt monitoring of equipment operation, as well as remote control.
