What is a wireless dry contact switch used for?
ROSSMA® IIOT-AMS Dry Contact Ex transmits the state of up to 6 discrete dry contact inputs via LoRaWAN. Used for monitoring limit switches, electro-contact pressure gauges, relays, and door sensors.
What is the battery life?
Up to 10 years from a 3.6 V / 14 Ah lithium battery. The device reports contact state changes and periodically transmits data on schedule.
Can it be used in oil & gas hazardous areas?
Yes. Certified 1Ex e IIC T4 Gb X. IP66 protection. Designed for hazardous zones 1 and 2. An IP65 general-purpose version is also available.
What is the communication range?
Up to 5 km in urban areas and up to 15 km in open terrain via LoRaWAN. Receiver sensitivity −138 dBm.
What is the minimum operating temperature?
Operating range −55…+85 °C. Certified for operation in Arctic conditions without additional heating.
How fast is the signal transmitted when a contact triggers?
The device detects state changes and transmits data within the current polling cycle (configurable from once per minute). An event-driven mode for immediate transmission on state change is also available.
