Deployment of ROSSMA IIOT-AMS SAVE Wireless Alert System at Oil Production Facilities in Irkutsk Region
Deployment of ROSSMA IIOT-AMS SAVE wireless alert system at 30 oil production facilities in Irkutsk Region — instant transmission of emergency information to operator console and information displays.
Project description
A project was implemented to deploy the ROSSMA IIOT-AMS SAVE wireless emergency alert system at oil production facilities in Irkutsk Region. The system provides instant transmission of safety system activation information to the operator console and information displays with exact indication of the emergency location.
As part of the project, 30 equipment sets were supplied and commissioned. Information from all facilities is displayed on the operator console and information panels for 24/7 operational monitoring.
Project scope
- Equipment supply — manufacturing and delivery of 30 ROSSMA IIOT-AMS SAVE alert system sets (ROSSMA IIOT-AMS Modbus ARF switches, information displays, ROSSMA NETS server software)
- Commissioning — installation and startup at oil production facilities: well pads, pumping stations, boiler houses, drilling sites, and auxiliary facilities
- Alert scenario configuration — setup of up to 500 alert scenarios per facility, linked to specific zones and event types (fire, gas contamination, security, access control)
- Data output to operator console and displays — creation of a unified information space: all 30 facilities connected to the central operator console (ROSSMA NETS web interface) equipped with displays showing emergency type and location
- Personnel training — operator and maintenance staff instruction on alert console and information display operation
System purpose
ROSSMA IIOT-AMS SAVE is a wireless alert system designed to transmit safety system activation information to the operator console and facility information displays with exact emergency location indication. The system operates fully autonomously, without connection to the enterprise’s process networks.
System equipment
Information display — LED matrix showing event type and emergency location. Explosion protection: Ex ia IIC T6. Indication: visual + audible. Power: 220V / 24V.
ROSSMA IIOT-AMS Modbus ARF switch — instrumentation data collection: RS-485 interface. Design: Outdoor IP65. Power: 220V / 5–30V.
Project results
- 30 facilities equipped with a unified alert system operating in a single information space
- Instant alerting — signal delivery time from sensor activation to operator console display is seconds
- Full autonomy — the system is independent from enterprise process networks, operating on its own LoRaWAN radio network with range up to 20 km
- Unified information space — all 30 facilities connected in a single alert network, operator monitors the entire site from one workstation via ROSSMA NETS web interface
- Enhanced industrial safety — personnel at each facility are instantly informed about emergency type and location through information displays with visual and audible alerts
- No cabling infrastructure — wireless LoRaWAN architecture eliminates the need for communication cable routing
- Scalability — additional facilities can be connected without upgrading existing infrastructure
