What vibration sensors solve

Predictive monitoring of industrial equipment health

Early defect detection

Continuous vibration monitoring of rotating equipment. Detect imbalance, misalignment, and bearing wear before critical failure.

Predictive maintenance

Shift from scheduled to condition-based maintenance. Repair only when truly needed, not on a fixed calendar.

Tilt & displacement control

Monitor tilt angles of structures, supports, and tanks. Count tilt and vibration cycles for fatigue assessment.

Analytics & trends

Data in NETS.HMI: vibration spectra, degradation trends, export. Integration with SCADA and CMMS systems.

Frequently asked questions about vibration sensors

What vibration parameters do ROSSMA sensors measure?
Tilt Counter has 2 sensing elements (tilt sensors) with a trigger threshold of more than 15 degrees. It records tilt/vibration cycle count and threshold exceedance events.
How do I configure vibration thresholds?
Thresholds are set via NETS.HMI or during device configuration: minimum amplitude (g), vibration event duration, and cycle count for alarm triggering. Settings are sent via LoRaWAN downlink.
Can vibration sensors be used in hazardous areas?
Yes. Tilt Counter Ex db is certified Ex db for Zone 1 and 2 per IEC 60079. Operating temperature from -55 to +80 °C.
How often does the sensor transmit vibration data?
Standard interval is 1 to 60 minutes (configurable). Additionally, the sensor sends an unscheduled message when the vibration threshold is exceeded, enabling instant response to emergencies.
Is the sensor suitable for predictive maintenance?
Yes. Tilt Counter maintains a vibration cycle and tilt counter, enabling material fatigue assessment and repair forecasting. Degradation trends are displayed in NETS.HMI.
How is the vibration sensor mounted on equipment?
IP67 housing with mounting holes. Bolt mounting or magnetic base (optional). For accurate measurements, rigid bolt mounting directly to the equipment housing is recommended.
Are vibration sensors compatible with existing SCADA?
Yes. The NETS base station supports Modbus TCP/RTU, MQTT, REST API. Data is also available via NETS.HMI — a built-in SCADA system with 21 widget types, including spectral analysis.
