What current sensors solve

Industrial electrical current monitoring for critical processes

Motor load monitoring

Continuous measurement of motor and pump current consumption. Real-time detection of overloads, underloads, and dry running.

Predictive maintenance

Current trend analysis detects bearing wear, imbalance, and other equipment defects before failure occurs.

Energy consumption tracking

Current data in NETS.HMI: trends, charts, CSV export. Monitor electricity consumption by area and equipment.

Reduce energy costs

Identify inefficient equipment operating modes. Optimize power consumption and reduce energy costs by up to 25%.

Frequently asked questions about current sensors

What current range do ROSSMA sensors measure?
Analog Ex modules accept standard 4-20 mA and 4-20 mA current signals. Combined with external current transformers (CT), you can monitor currents from a few amps to thousands of amps.
Are the sensors compatible with current transformers (CT)?
Yes. The 4-20 mA inputs are compatible with any standard CT with current output. The current transformer installs on the power cable without breaking the circuit — installation takes 5-10 minutes.
What is the sampling rate?
The measurement interval is configurable from 1 second to 60 minutes. For motor monitoring, 10-30 seconds is recommended. Data is transmitted via LoRaWAN at a configurable interval from 1 to 60 minutes.
Can all three phases be monitored simultaneously?
Yes. The 4-channel Analog Ex X4 module allows connecting 3 current transformers (one per phase) plus one additional sensor. All 4 channels are measured simultaneously.
How can motor faults be detected via current?
The NETS.HMI system analyzes current trends: increasing consumption indicates bearing wear, pulsations indicate rotor imbalance, sudden spikes indicate jamming. Configurable thresholds automatically generate alerts.
Does the equipment need to be shut down for sensor installation?
No. A split-core current transformer installs on the cable without breaking the circuit and without shutting down equipment. The wireless ROSSMA sensor requires no cabling.
Do current sensors work in hazardous areas?
Yes. Analog Ex db and Analog Ex are Ex d / Ex db certified for Zone 1 and 2 per IEC 60079. Operating temperature from -55 to +80 °C.
